Our featured piper Andrew is a Pipe Major who started his piping career whilst serving with the 1st Battalion Irish Guards Pipes and Drums. He has piped at many state occasions at Buckingham palace and Windsor Castle before Her Magesty the Queen, Members of the Royal Household and Heads of State. Andrew has played around the world including Australia, Canada, Central America, the United States of America and Scandinavia but to name a few. On leaving the army Andrew took up the post of Pipe Major of Harrods Pipe Band. This presented him with many opportunities to play for visiting stars.

Andrew has now gone solo and has piped many brides down the aisle over the years, piped in the Haggis at Burns Suppers. Celebrated St Andrew's Day and many other special occasions such as Regimental Association Dinners, Masonic Dinners and provides a dignified service at funerals.

Particulars of Service

On your big day, Andrew will be able to pipe whilst your guests arrive at the wedding ceremony, pipe the bride up the aisle, during the signing of the register and escort the bride and groom out of the venue. Andrew would then play whilst the photos are being taken.

At the Reception Venue Andrew would be able to pipe as your guests arrive, pipe the "top table" to their seats and then the Bride and Groom. At this point the bride would present Andrew with a Quaich of whiskey (provided for your convenience) and he would toast the "health wealth and happiness" of the newly married couple. He would then request permission from the Bride to be dismissed, where upon he would salute again, strike up the pipes and pipe his way to the exit, finish piping and salute your guests, turn to his right and fall out.
